Star Wars is just a drama with stuff blowing up. Star Trek has deeper, intellectual appeal.

Star Trek is the thinking man's space opera.

Star Wars.Kirk is good with his fists, but Star Wars is loaded with epic lightsaber duels that are skillfully choreographed. Darth Vader is one of the greatest, scariest villains in movie history. Star Trek has a bunch of creepy Vulcans and Romulans and such, And the corny Khan with his feathered mullet and waxed chest. Spock is ruled by logic, but Chewbacca is the superior co-pilot. Despite the Star Wars prequels lacking, they were decent in their own right due to good character development that explains where it all began. Star Trek on the other hand had about three good movies out of 11. I didn't care for the Enterprise series and I found it hard to stay awake during "Star Trek: The Motion Picture."
