Do clown killifish have to be kept in groups?
I have to buy them off the internet, and the person selling them only sells established pairs. Will i be ok with just 2.

You might be able to keep a small group while they're babies but as they grow up they have to be separated and kept in pairs in their own tanks.

Most killifish will only tolerate their mate in a tank so a pair is perfect. I haven't dealt with clown killis specifically, but have found they prefer just the pair in other killifish species.

I would suggest you get a few pairs. It will be more interesting to see different males spar with each other, displaying their best colours but not injuring each other.
