I need to help my litle rural country library to expand their Wi Fi at little or no cost.?
Tiny rural Library stays alive mostly through volunteer help and donations. Need to expand Wi Fi out to about 3,000 feet at the cheapest cost possible.

All tech projects need some sort of budget, whether it be equipment, time to setup, or time to maintain. How technical are your volunteers and how reliable is your connection? The other person suggesting "flashing" WRT54Gs with DD-WRT, which means using customized software (which is free) and installing it on consumer-grade wireless routers, which isn't an easy task. You can also ask your question at the forum at Techsoup (cited below) or TechSoup for Libraries. TechSoup is a nonprofit that helps nonprofits and libraries with their technology needs. (Disclaimer: I am an employee of TechSoup's)

Flash, DD-WRT onto some WRT54Gs and bridge them
