.......and just retired before being humiliated by that low-bred, scum sucking, ghetto organizer?

McChrystal is a great American and a great soldier.
Soldiers follow orders.
I think McChrystal is the only one who won in this debacle.
Obama looks like the fool that he is, the American people lost a great leader who has devoted his life to protecting us, and the Afghan people lost a great friend.
I hope McChrystal goes home and enjoys life with his family and friends, writes some books, and after a reasonable time for rest, comes back to serve his country in the field of politics.

No, because he's an officer which implies, if not good breeding, at least some good training in the military. A man does what he has to do. If you're in the military, when your Commander in Chief puts out the call, you suck it up and do what's expected of you. He's already liable for a Conduct Unbecoming An Officer And A Gentleman charge. He might not want to risk a second charge for the same thing.

in case you flow by technique of the preponderance of evidence, Nairobi, Kenya. His revealed start certificate can make it Hawaii yet, 2 twins born 2 days after Obam were given their sequential numbers beforehand Obama's start even although he replaced into born 2 days beforehand. This irregularity makes his revealed start certificate fantastically suspect. Snopes and "actuality verify" state that Obama is a organic born American and cite his revealed start certificate as their evidence, their in ordinary words evidence. because those businesses are area of the Annenberg team, their validity is fantastically suspect. The Annenberg team funded all of Obama's early campaign in Illinois and contained in the U. S. Senate. So "actuality verify" received't be very authentic in any respect. Obama ought to have cleared up this entire mess merely by technique of disclosing his records yet has chosen now to not. His legitimacy because the President of u . s . a . is fantastically suspect. those that favor to comb this all below the rug have a stake in scamming u . s . a ., often welfare parasites and union thugs. Obama isn't taken to job about this because the Democrats administration the Congress so, we received't understand the reality now, at the same time as it really is proper. we favor a Balkan form civil conflict to get to the bottom of this.

Obama is the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. As such, he is General McChrystal's boss.
If General McChrystal had disobeyed the order to meet with Obama, he would have been guilty of violating a direct order and could have been court-martialed.
Whether Conservatives like it or not, Obama IS the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

Ethically he should have met with Obama. However, for the morality of it he should have sent him a note saying he was retiring and not given him a photo op.

Obama did him (McChrystal) a great service by sitting in the same room with the general. What an idiot, he flat lined a military career. Obama had the guts to look at him face to face, more than I can say for McChrystal.

I suppose in that case the general could have been arrested by MPs and escorted to meet the President in handcuffs. As long as he wears that uniform he is obligated to follow direct legal orders. Now that he is a civilian it doesn't matter what he says. He can condemn to his hearts content, he just can't do it in uniform.

No. He'd already lost his military bearing once. He did the right and honorable thing by meeting with Obama in person. Not meeting with him would have been cowardly... kind of like idiots who think it's clever to resign from their jobs via e-mail.

no cause then he would have been court martialed which would be worse then resigning
