do babies have to wear bonnets at their christening?

we had our twins christened in bonnets (the little hats that tie around the neck) but i really don't like the look of them.. sorry if that sounds awful if they are supposed to be worn. but I was just wondering if we could have our daughter in just her dress and a little headband with a bow??

also which dress do you like better?

It's not necessary at all. And why dont you like them? they look so cute, but no dont worry, they're not needed. And by all means you could have your daughter wear a headband with a bow, I bet she'll look pretty cute!

    As for the dresses..

It's tough to choose! they're both very cute.... I'd choose the Macy's one-.it's prettier :-)

Oh and since you're planning on having her wear a headband..here you have lots of models!

  • Ive never been to one where they wore bonnets so I'm guessing its not required. The headband idea sounds really cute.

I like the first dress better

I've obvious them performed at my church (I'm United) and it is beautiful quick and candy. It's facet of the Sunday morning rite and there could also be a small get-in combination afterwords with a lunch served (i.e. sandwiches, finger meals and so on.). They in general put on a white outfit and it remains on for the duration of the rite as they do not get dunked. I've additionally been to 1 that was once Greek Orthodox and was once extra tricky than my marriage ceremony. It was once no less than an hour lengthy. The little one wore a ordinary christening outfit, but it surely was once taken off to ensure that her to be dunked. She was once dried off after and the outfit was once positioned again on. The reception after was once at a nation membership and was once a sit down-down three direction meal with open bar and a DJ! Favours have been silver photo frames with the infants photo already in them (professionally performed of direction).

they're not required to wear anything, i don't think. the headband idea sound cute, but make sure you don't leave it on too long and it isn't too tight because it will cause a headache.
