MLB----->games usually start 1:07, 3:07, 12:37, 7:07, coz they always end in 7. WHY??

Most games I see start at 5 minutes after, not 7. I know Blue Jays games usually start at 7 minutes after (because of the extra national anthem that gets played).
Anyhow - they don't start on the hour because of all the preliminaries - national anthems, ceremonial first pitch, etc.

All games start on "odd" hours to give radio and TV broadcasts time to do their intros before the first pitch. There is no standard for this to be exactly 7 minutes after the hour, however.
Dodger games, for example, begin 10 minutes after the hour and White Sox night games start at 7:11 because they signed an advertising deal with 7-11 stores.

Royals home games usually start at the 10 minute mark, so 3:10, or 6:10. Something like that.

Jays games start at 7 after and White Sox games start at 11 after b/c of one of the worst advertising schemes ever, by 7-11... its a bad scheme b/c no one knows this.

Mainly due to TV time.
Not always......White Sox night games start at 7:11 - a radio/TV major sponsor is 7-11

The television broadcasts of these games start at normal times. The anouncers are given 7 minutes to do their introductions and read the lineups before the game actually starts.
