When did Steve Jobs call Dell computers 'un-innovative beige boxes'?

I know everyone quotes that he said this, but when? In what context?

Jobs had a public war of words with Dell Computer CEO Michael Dell. I think the context is obvious.

I have no idea when he said this but he certainly had a good point. These days they make their uninnovative boxes in a variety of colours. However, Apple Mac's are previous generation PC clones in a pretty box these days too.
