Why is the American media mostly ignoring the Climate Change email scandal?
Generally the media eats up any scandal, especially over such a high profile subject as Climate Change.
In England they are calling it the Scientific scandal of the century. In America, it is barely mentioned.
Why do you think the American media is mostly ignoring the issue?
So the leading research center, that supplied much of the processed data to the rest of the worlds researchers, being potentially guilty of fudging said data, is not a scandal to you? If the data is fudged the basis of your "scientific fact" is suspect.
The problem is they are the source of much of the distributed data. If they gave out bad data, all the subsequent studies are suspect. The fact that they have tried to prevent peer review, and have tried to prevent scientific studies that reach a different conclusions from being published don't help. The entire point of peer review is to provide a check and balance for the quality of the science. Of course the raw data was deleted long ago, so there has never been a peer review of all the science.
