Bands that deserve more recognition?

I don't really mean underground bands but bands that get overlooked.

Mine is going to have to be Chevelle. They have had their moments of popularity but I feel nobody really appreciates them for how great they really are. Besides my dad, who only listens to old school music like Zeppelin and Pink Floyd thinks Chevelle is the only modern band of which can put out a good rock album along with the White Stripes and Shinedown.

Another honorable mention for me would have to be Bloodsimple who deserves WAY more credit.

What bands do YOU think deserve more recognition.. and please no attacking other people for their opinions!

I would have to say the Doors. While they are popular, most people don't know more than songs such as Light My Fire, and or Touch Me. Honestly, not only their music, but their attitude and style greatly affected rock. Jim Morrison was one of the first true Rock Stars, at least by our definition. I'd give them a listen.

    Uriah Heep

    Jethro Tull

    Blue Cheer

    Manic Street Preachers

  • Incubus: people always mention the same songs (Drive, Megalomaniac, I wish you were here, Are you in? Anna Molly) people never dig deeper than those songs, people never go back to basics ( S.C.I.E.N.C.E, Fungus Amongus, Enjoy Incubus)

Also i think Incubus could've added some of there older tracks in their newest album " Monuments and Melodies" instead of only their hits and some new hidden tracks from 4 of their most recent albums.

Jason Derulo uses part of her song "Hide and Seek" in Watcha Say and no one gives her any credit for it.
