Is "Pushkin" a cool name for a cat?

He is morbedly obese 2 years old, we found him in our grandmothers house eating out of her fridge. Is that a good name if not, what should we call him?

It is a good name. There was indeed a Russian poet called Alexandr Pushkin, and he's generally considered to have been the greatest Russian poet. The name is most likely derived from the Russian word pushka, which means "cannon" (presumably the poet's ancestor made or operated cannons). However, it's also not very far off the Russian word pukh, which means "fluff", so that might be another good reason to use it as a name for a cat.

And, of course, it sounds a bit like puss-kin too.

    Good choice:)

That is an interesting name. I've never heard of it before, so I say it is a random name. Anyways, some names I like are: Felix, Oliver, Spencer, Skeeter, Jake, Winston, Apollo, Hudson, Chance, Lucas, Braxton, Brent, Miles, Maleki Cole, Ruffus, Rambo, Jackson, Cooper, Hudson, Simon, Sabastain, Beast, Monty, Manny, Zorro, and Ringo.

Good luck naming the kitty cat!
