Yes. "Thou art Peter, and upon THIS Rock, I will build My Church."
Is that authoritative enough for them?
Therefore, their "red herring" of "Catholics...doing it all wrong," will not work. They take their heresies from each other, never stopping to think they are not even reading a Catholic translation. And if they are, Protestants, the same as other apostate "religions" such as the Orthodox (Unorthodox), will still take their heresies from each other rather than using intellect. And more, maliciously they think that history will not show what they did, and they REVERSE and claim the True Church has apostatized. This is Malice against the Holy Ghost ! The Unforgivable sin in this world and in the next !
"Thou art Peter, and upon THIS Rock, I will build MY CHURCH."
This stands regardless of what their itching ears have picked up.
Our word is not truth. Remember that. It is in the Patristic Record where Christ's teachings are found. Not in our own variations, or even a doctor or pope's invention!
Christ's Word is truth. Christ has given His Word to the Apostles. They wrote SOME of His words, but Christ meant for them to TEACH. Our word is only as good as those that the Apostles and their descendants wrote, one carrying it to each descendant, and it arrives at our intellect intact and UNCHANGED! It is in Him, Christ Jesus, we will be glorified, not in ourselves. Nothing we can say to apostates is of any value unless we can point to the Patristic record of the Apostles and the Early Fathers who they taught.
This will not be accepted by Protestants and others, because of their intractable. unreasonable, and pertinacious, pride.
The 101 heresies of ....you can guess the rest.
