Idea for a male birthday cake?

My mom asked me to make a birthday cake for my grandfather's 75th birthday. I can use butter cream icing and lots of tips, flowers, borders, etc. Does anyone have pictures of cakes they once did? Any ideas would be so helpful!

What about black forest cake? you can get a devils food cake mix & bake up 2 round cakes & then you can use cherry pie filling in the middle & ice it with whip cream that you whip up yourself, you can buy little packets of "whip it" by dr.oatker & that will keep the whipped cream solid for a very very long time & then top the cake with shredded dark chocolate & little fluffy mounds of whip cream in a circle around the cake with Cherry's in them. & keep the CENTRE empty for "happy b-day".
