Good mix breed dog for me?

I was wondering what the best tempermant mix breed dogs are?

Just, if anyone can give me suggestions, that'd be great.

Can be up to 4 breeds, at most.

I'm thinking ones involving ;

German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, Pit Bull, Cocker Spaniel, Boxer, Labrador, Nova Scotia, Beagle, Polish Lowland Sheepdog.

Any suggestions? I want a calm, yet fun dog that I can play and exercise with, but when we go inside, he's preferably calm and moderate. Just an affectionate tempermant towards everything and one. Cats, other dogs, and humans.

I know training is a big part, but as far as tempermant, not training terms.

Adopt a dog from your local shelter.

Its hard to tell mixes, as the don't have breed standards, they're just mutts (no offence, I'm adopting one too! :)

When you adopt the staffs help you choose out the best dog that suits you and your lifestyle.

    Good Luck! :D

Why are you looking specifically for a mix-breed? A mix-breed will give you a MIXTURE of all the breeds involved, depending on which comes out strongest. Hence the benefits of buying a Purebred - you stand a better chance of knowing what you will be getting in terms of temperament, size etc.

Otherwise, rather than help the breeders of these 'designer dogs' get rich, go get a mutt (which is all a mix-breed is anyway) from a Rescue Centre and do him a favour!

I think that you should go visit some pet shelters to actually pick out the dog that you want because each dog has their own personality, no matter the breed, I guess keep all doors open but one thing for sure is that I've never seen a mean Golden Retriever.

To be fair it all depends on you and the training you give it, but a good breed would be any retriever, german shepard, cockers are good, labs and beagles, Rottweilers are great tempered.

NOT - Pit bulls, Huskies or Boxers etc they are too jumpy and can be a handfull.

I have 2 mixed bread dogs...Maltese x shiztu and a maltese x shiztu x Pomeranian. The Mal x shiz is a happy dog but is quite shy around new people. The other is also a happy dog, loves people, was a little hyperactive as a pup. Very family orientated dogs

I have one that is a x of chocolate lab and German short hair. Very smart and great personality. One down fall she has separation disorder. If you could find a calmer dog to add i am sure it would be great

Your on the right track, larger dogs, can't go wrong with: Lab, or golden

Small dogs I'd say: Sheltys are cool, or a dascund.

wolf, coyote, german shepard, siberian husky

now that is a great mix

Source(s): on of my uncles has this breed, i swear apart from being great guard dog, strong, reliable, loyal, and kind due to the trait of siberian husky
