Will a house be condemned by the city.....?
If a house has no electricity hooked up to it, is it true the city or county will condemn it? I have been told this is what will happen if I have the power turned off at a property. No people live on this property.

No, it will not be condemned, it is perfectly legal to not have electricity, it does not matter if you live there or not.
Vacant property is much safer w/o any power.

No they can't do it. They will condemn it if people complain that it is an eyesore or is dangerous for people to be a around. There's an old mobile home near us that the owners haven't lived in for at least 20 years, and the ceiling is caving in through the window. We've tried to get the county to condemn it but they haven't done so yet.
