PLAESE HELP!! what is the name of the part of an ice berg which is located under the water???

i heard a few years ago that there was a name on the part of an ice berg which is located under the water and then i forgot it and its realy wrecking my head could any body tell me the answer please

    normally, 7/8th of the iceberg is underwater...its called an ICEBERG. the top 1/8 part which is jutting out on top is the TIP OF AN ICEBERG usually with snow

    The submerged part is called the under water mass or draught of a berg

  • Icebergs are Calved from glaciers becoming Calcon,parts of the iceberg under water are called Rams.

    I don't believe that I have ever heard of any terminology for the underwater portion of an Iceberg. It is all one thing, an Iceberg.
