Are online casino's a fix like gambling machines in pubs?
I'm bored an got a few spare pounds in my ladbrooks account an fancy a go on roulette. Is this fixed like gambling machines where they are designed to give you 75% etc and only let you win every certain amount of times, cheers.

well i don't think ladbrokes would run the game if they weren't sure they could make a profit on it. so their must be some sort of fix on it. As for what system I don't know.

Online Casinos. I can assure you that the huge ones are not fixed. They are regularly checked by auditing bodies. Do you not think Government has the same concerns you do? Online casinos record every hand and every play on every game, and these results are checked to see their payout. Casino games 'themselves' are rigged towards the house. They do NOT need the risk of making their games biased in order to make money. Online casinos do not cost much to run compared with a real casino, and so therefore their profit margins will be excellant using the exact games and odd that their real life brothers use.
Usually games 'average payout' is above 90% by the way. You won't find many games under that at all. The reason why the house always 'seems' to win so much is the the fact that if you're £100 up, you can always still loose it. If you go below, 0, you can't get it back. So whereas in a fair game you could be down sometimes, up other times but come out alright. In a casino you would've been wiped out as soon as you went into the minuses.
Just thought I'd defend them for a sec.

With respect to the people that are under the impression that these casinos use independent auditors to check there RNG's if you can find one let me know. As far as I'm aware they audit their own. I took a quick look at one of the big operators and although I know they have licenced casino and sports betting divisions I could find no information about where their egaming division is based. If it's off shore then there will be no regulating body. I've worked in casinos in the for 22 years and they have always gone for the cheap option.
Now back to your question roulette is a 2.73% game this translates to a hold % of about 22%. While it's not a good game to play it's probably the most exciting. You will find better odds playing Punto banko or dice.Source(s): Me Casino Manager.

all fruit machines have a fixed minimum %age payout which should be displayed (usually very small and obscure) on the front of the machine fascia it is possible to win from these machines IF you watch every single penny that goes into them and keep a record of payouts as well, over the course of maybe 5000 or 10000 spins (maybe more) you will notice the payout %age is quite accurate if 80% of the spins have been made and the payout is well under the average %age then you can be sure that the machine will pay out soon but then will you waste that amount of time looking at one machine, i think you will be escorted out of the door a lot sooner modern machines with £500 jackpots can easily take thousands with no jackpot paid out all machines are 'fixed' to make money, otherwise what's the point

Stick with known brands and you'll be fine. Online casinos use independently audited Random Number Generators and you'll usually be playing with better odds than you'd get at Vegas.Source(s): http://www.free-cash-casino.com

Someone above me said that they are fixed because people always lose in the long run. They don't need to fix things to make that happen. That happens out of the natural and unaltered statistics of any casino game. The house is a favorite in every game they offer. You are going to lose in the long run, they don't need to fix things to make that happen. Sure, it's possible that some sites alter the programming and give themselves a bigger edge, but why would they risk it?There are companies monitoring them, they have a guaranteed cash maker already, why risk it by fixing the software?

All casino games are 'fixed' in the house's favor, that's how they are designed. While the are FAIR, the odds are against the player. This is true to land based as well as online casinos. That being said there are online gaming sites that offer excellent payout percentages, the one that I use boasts a payout percentage of %97.4. That percentage is casino wide, many casinos post only their payout percentage for Blackjack, the %97.4 is the highest of any casino!
