What do Muslims pray for?
With a Christian upbringing and some interest in Spiritualism I'd pray for peace, end to wars, homes for the homeless, food for the hungry, healing for the sick, that people care for animals, for respect and love for one another and such. What do Muslims pray for?
I had a conversation with a muslim man on a chat room once and he said they recite stuff from the Koran when they pray rather than actually praying for anything of their chosing. Just wanted to know what other muslims had to say really.
Thanks Agent H. I'm learning

HII! im a muslim.
So basically we pray to remember god. and there is another word we use for praying t its DUAA thats when u ask god.
Pretty much we pray for the same thing we belive if you want god to asnwer your prayers pray for others before yourself.
So we say "Oh allah bring good health to all humainty" then if u know someone who is sick say their name. And so on. so yeah we do the same thing
~hope this helps!

They believe in vengence for Allah's sake !!!
They do believe in peace only when the whole world is converted to Islam. that that is the rub !!!
They believe in murder of Jews and Christians who do not convert !!! The President of Iran has sent President Bush such a letter !!!
The above are not just isolated beliefs without foundation, but this is in the Quran !!!
One more item !!! There is death to anyone who converts from Islam !!! There is nothing in Islam that advocates democracy or freedom !!! It is acceptable to lie to an unbeliever so you cannot trust ANYTHING they say !!! If this seems extreme to you !!! That is what 9/11 is all about plus over a 1000 years of bloodshed !!! Sharia law is a danger to any community that wants to remain free !!!

This is ridiculous since you obviously are biased and stereotype people.
People pray and hope for the many the same universal things. Just like you.
Muslims pray for their sick little sister or for her SATs to go well or for all this evil hatred that is NOT based on anything 'holy,' to end.
Widen your analytical scope please.
