Windows cannot connect to Printer, Error 0x0000046a?

I have a network where a printer is connected to an XP based PC, I have just added a laptop to the network which is running Vista Ultimate. However when I select 'add printer' and select network, it will find the printer but returns an error: 'Windows cannot connect to the printer. Operation could not be completed (error 0x0000046a)

I've so far googled the problem but as yet no answers.

Any one out there had the same problem and found a fix?

    Thank you. I had to go through the same insane exercise of installing another version of the same printer, which then worked, and then deleting the original one. What an incredible waste of time, but your solution saved the day.

    Try re-installing the printer drivers then go to controle pannel and go to printers and faxes you should see your printer in their make your printer the default printer then it will work fine.

    there is a network setting you need to adjust. The IrpStackSize is not big

    enough due to the anti virus software.

    E:\>winerror 0x0000046a

    1130 ERROR_NOT_ENOUGH_SERVER_MEMORY <--> 0xc0000205

    STATUS_INSUFF_SERVER_RESOURCES

    here's the networking article, you will need to reboot each time you make

    the adjustment
