I have to research the literary side of magic realism and how it related to the mexican culture in around the 1920-40.
This can range from speeches, stories, song lyrics, etc.
it also needs to reflect the political isues of the time.
do you know of any where i can look
or have any suggestions?!

Look for Diego Rivera as previously stated as well as his wife, Frida Khalo. Diego's murals were extremely political and you should definitely find either a speech or newspaper article . . . it's all over the web as well. There are also many stories, speeches, movies, etc. about Khalo, who exhibited magical realism in her work.
Other Mexican artists who contributed a great deal to the Mexican Muralist movement were David Alfaro Siqueiros and Jose Clemente Orozco.

One of the great muralists of that period was Diego Rivera. Start with him and see who were some of the poets in his circle of friends.
