I choose Kevin Smith. Details for your picks would be nice.

DeMarco Murray - Oklahoma. He is just a freshman, and is out of the Fiesta Bowl injured, but watch this guy win the heisman in the next 2-3 years. He is the only back with TD runs of 90+ yards both from scrimmage and on kickoffs.

how do you get Smith as being underrated? all i have heard is how great he is, the huge number of yards et-cetra.

if anything he is overrated due to the fact he has not played great defenses week in and week out. he should be a good pro back if he stays healthy and has the work ethic. the expectations for smith are high that fact by definition means he is not underrated.

    underrated back Foster at Tennessee

    229 carries 1162 yds 12 TD 1 fum lost

    35 rec 314 yds 2TD

3 kick ret 117 yds 39 yd avg.

Chris " Beanie" Wells from Ohio State , their is a reason he was the most sought after running back in the nation coming out of High School and now is his time to shine , and he will definitely be mentioned in the Heisman race for next year because he is going to have a Great Game against LSU .

Jacob Hester of LSU - the guy is a beast! He lowers his shoulder and can plow over many guys.(Like he did against Tennessee in the SEC Championship, over 4 guys!) He has not fumbled the ball since his first time touching the ball back in 04 or 05. He is the go to guy! But yet there are people that come on here and complain that he is too slow to have a starting position. Watch him on January 7th, he deserves all the playing time he gets if not more!

I think that Tashard Choice is the most underrated back in the country from Georgia Tech. Watch him in the Humanitarian Bowl vs Fresno State. He follows his blocks better than any runner in the country and runs tough all the time. He has led the ACC in rushing two years in a row yet is hardly rocognized the way he should be.

You said it Kevin Smith. He is breaking all the records for his position, but he isn't getting any recognition. He helped his team win the conference and make a bowl game. He wasn't mentioned in any of the awards and names of other running backs with lesser stats are all that we hear about.

Jacob Hester for LSU in that he is out of the Joseph Addai mold. He runs, blocks and is a good receiver out of the backfield not too mention that he has only fumbled the ball twice in his career.

Conredge Collins of Pitt. He is a FB. He can do it all. Run, catch, & block.
