There is in fact no direct opposite to steep, however in terms of incline eg on a hillside, gentle would be acceptible, as would describing it as gradual, but in fact shallow also does a good job particularly when thinking about a curve.

    eg a gently sloping hillside

    a gradual incline

    a shallow curve

Gradual. As the opposite of a steep incline is a gradual incline.

I would say that gradual or gentle would be the opposite of steep.

Well - according to MS Word the antonym of 'steep' is 'gentle'

No opposite: but "gently sloping" means "not steep".

Gradual, moderate. But be careful, steep can also mean dip in liquid.
