How do you convert an excel spreadsheet to a CSV file so it can be copied?

I've tried the obvious save as etc but it doesn't give it as an option. Answers in idiot language please

Update:

Sorry, should have said, I'm using Windows 2007

    It should be there.

When you select save as, click on the bottom drop down list labelled "save as type" and select the CSV option.

Are you sure you don't want to double check?

I'm using Excel 2003 and it's the 11th option in the Save As / file type box. If you have an older version, you might want to look at the link below, but it's a bit technical:

you ought to jot down down a programm to do it, thinking Excell by technique of it self isn't waiting to do the restoration length by technique of itself. you could save as a CSV, and truthfully code a application to learn, and comprehensive each and each column of each and every row, with the quantity required of aspects to make it fixed.
