Which hydration pack would you recommend?

Hi there, I am looking for a hydration pack (1.5 to 2L) for hiking and snowboarding. Ideally, it should have some cargo space, approx 10L would be ok. It should be removeable from its original pack and can be used in other rucksacks too? Which brand and model would you recommend? Many thanks!

camelbak make the best hydration packs. they do all sorts of sizes the bladders are removeable from most packs and there isn't a stronger bag to use. i use the octane 8 and ive never had a problem with it yet!! platypus should be re-named platy-poop as the backs are to plasticy and turn all flimsy and wear out too fast.

if you want more info on camelbak try there web on

I would go for a platypus pack. They dont do one with a rucksack, however many manufacturers make their bags with a small opening for the hose. That leaves you to pick the best bag for you - looks, style, comfort and size etc.

I think that they all can be removed from their bag for cleaning purposes and should be transferable to other bags too
