Meiosis occurs after sexual maturity in both male and females.

In males in happens almost all the time after maturity, as males need to produce millions of sperm.

In females it happens approximately once a month and happens much more slowly, producing one gamete (egg or oocyte) for use.

Are you trying to get other people to do your homework there Pen?

In the male the sperm cells are constantly undergoing meiosis and producing more sperm. In the female the process starts up again just prior to the cell being ovulated.

Meiosis is sexual reproduction that occurs when both sex cells (ovum and sperm) are united to create a new organism. When this sex cells unite, all the genetic information that determines the mental and physical characteristics of the new organism (in chromosomes) are combined in seperate units called pronucleus. These two pronucleus are joined and from a zygote, one of the components needed to make an organism in the human body

    Hope this helps! :) :)
