Hands down in my opinion is the scene in
V for Vendetta where V has just witnessed the High Chancellor's execution, and is confronted on all sides by machine-gun wielding men. After being ordered to take off his mask, and subsequently being on the receiving end of several rounds of ammunition bursts, he is kneeling, undaunted and quite determined he lifts his head up, and says, 'My turn.."
Armed with only his knives he answers this dilemma thru a flurry of moves that we see in slow motion. The path of his swings are illustrated by the trail of shine from each blade he uses. In the midst of the ensuing panic from this sudden retaliation, the gunmen hastily try to reload as each one in turn receives a blade either inserted into some body part up close and personal, or by V leaning backwards and hurtling them towards any that are distant.
This whole scene culminates with V having his hands around the second in commands throat, just as he (V) stated the outcome of this melee would be, stating that words are 'bullet proof' in response to 'why won't you die?".Then,
SNAP goes the bad guys throat, and V,keeping true to his word, removes the concealed armored breastplate, now riddled literally with holes, drops it with a thump and staggers off to die.
