How can you respect a religion that approves of suicide bombers ?
I watched a program on tele last night that showed many leading Muslim leaders justifing the suicide bombers.
I'm not anti any religion but when you resort to violence haven't you lost your argument ?

Sometimes I think it's impossible to find a person who truely represents the teaching of their religion. And again, I think the way you do judge a religion is by the actions of its true believers, but its hard to determine who those are, compared to those who just 'say' they are.
I know what you're saying. But I'd guess I'd judge more person by person, or by the majority, then by the actions of a few.

There's going to be rotten apples falling near any tree. The Muslim religion is about peace, it's no different than any other religion. All of the main religions are based on the same idea. Don't compare apples to oranges, these radical Muslims are an extremely small group of people and they're just bad seeds.
Oh and comments like this one said by 'byhispeace' are frickin moronic: "I agree with you. But the violence is nothing new. It's the entire basis for Islam." - What an idiot ignorant loser.

Yes, I can still respect that religion. Because what you must always remember is that not EVERY one feels this way. There are some people who practice these religions (whichever one it may be) who just want to be peaceful and live thier life serving their God. I have gotten mad before at things I see and started to stereotype. But I have also been reminded that I can't do this, and it keeps me grounded.
Keep in mind, we as Americans are hated by some for the stupid actions of a few. Is this right? Don't peg everyone under a category. Each individual is their own person.

There are different types of Muslims, just as there are different types of Christians... the ones that are approving the bombings are extremists just like the bombers, not all Muslims are like that.
You might ask the same of Christianity. While most Christians abhor the extremists who kill at abortion clinics, there are some Christian kooks out there who endorse it.
What, exactly, is the difference? Try opening your heart instead of closing your eyes with questions like that... Muslims are no better, or worse, then the rest of us. They are humans just like us. There may be some who support the bombers (just like some caucasian Christains support the KKK), but there are a lot who don't...

In Nazi Germany many leading scientists experimented on living and dead humans - how can you respect science if some scentists approved of this?
Not every Muslim approves of suicide bombers just like not every British person wears a top hat.

I believe the whole suicide bomber thing does not reflect the feelings of the majority of Muslim people. We see the actions and opinions of radicals.
Note: I am not Muslim, I just feel bad for any group being labeled by a few bad apples.

I started out having respect for Muslims. I thought that even if they had the wrong ideas, they were at least peaceful, except for the few radicals who think they have to kill all the non-Muslims in order to get to their version of Heaven. But after so many of them have said that we should all die............I have little to no respect for them anymore. No matter how you feel about Christianity, do you see modern-day Christians (not the Catholics of the middle ages, inquisition, all that) on TV ordering a jihad on all jews and muslims?? No. And if a Christian does say that, they aren't really a Christian in the first place. Which is exactly what I used to think of most muslims, until so MANY of them started trying to kill us that it appears that the whole religion is based on murder.

So, you know those crazy Christian Fundamentalists that dance around with snakes and ****? Do you not respect Christians in general because of one group's behavior? All christians? See what I mean? How's about you just not respect suicide bombers and the people that support them instead of condemning an entire religion. Mohammed never preached suicide bombing and it's not in the Koran.

I generally don't disrespect religions, but I have grave disrespect for those who encourage suicide bombers. I would have great respect for a Cleric who came out and said that Moslems should pray for the souls of Jews and Christians and for their conversion to Islam. But maybe this is already commonly said, but just won't get you much coverage on CNN.

True Islam condemns suicide, and stops the person from going to heaven.
It's the crazy fanatics that all religions have that make the headlines. True to meet & make some Muslim friends, they're just ordinary people who are being victimized at the moment.

People think diferently in different regions. I personally, don't see how anyone can justify a suicide bomber, but that's thier opinions. There are many things we do as Americans that they might not understand. But you do gotta have a very mild amount of respect for someone that believes in their cause so much, they are willing to die for it.
