    so 1 grain = .064799 grams = .000064799 kg.

    Since Weight = mass* gravity,

    Weight = 0.000064799 * 9.81 m/s^2,

    1 grain weights 0.00063567819 Newtons, or in scientific notation,

    6.3567819 E-4 Newtons.

    This refers to the measure "grain" originally as in grains of wheat. A 0.3 grain of table salt has a mass of about 60 to 100 micrograms.

    The answer, .064 g, or 64 milligrams is absurdly wrong. If you put a grain of table salt on an analytical balance it will weigh less than ONE milligram.
