Best answer: The Bible is NOT "against gays".
The Bible, (more correctly, the teachings in the Bible) instruct the reader on the nature of sin, and encourage the reader to avoid it...among other things. Homosexuality is a sin. The "Old Testament" names it as a sin, and preachers in the "New Testament" (preachers other than Jesus) refer back to the "Old" when they mention it.
BUT, to answer your question about gay churches, same-sex weddings, and the like - you first have to "get" the Bible's message about sin: ALL PEOPLE SIN. Everyone who goes to church with you sins. If the mere fact that you have sinned - or perhaps that it is your HABIT to sin or your PREFERENCE to sin (as is the case for many, many of us) - if that fact should result in you being barred from God's grace and the sacraments & community of a church, well... That would mean that, after you've committed your first sin, you might as well forget it, because you are damned. Game over. Of course, if that were the case, NOBODY but NOBODY would escape hell. And heaven would be completely devoid of humanity.
Fortunately, that's not what the Bible says. It is emphasized in the "New Testament" in particular that being sin-less is NOT the way to heaven. No,- that pathway is followed EXCLUSIVELY by becoming a Christian and accepting the forgiveness offered through Christ. That means that all sinners (all humans, including you, your mom, the Pope, and all the saints) have the opportunity to escape hellfire...ALL of them. BUT ONLY if they take that opportunity.
And THAT, in turn, means that it is the PURPOSE and DUTY of ALL Christian congregations to welcome sinners...even HABITUAL sinners...and to minister to their spiritual needs. How can you do that if you don't let them in the front door?
The reason there are gay churches, frankly, is because the OTHER churches have FAILED in this obligation, leaving the few ACTUAL Christians to open their doors to gay people - thus becoming what you call a "gay" church. (It may surprise you to learn that most congregants in on of these "gay" churches are as straight as you are. It's not a church full of gays - it's a regular church, just like yours, except that it doesn't throw the few congregants known to be gay OUT.) Of course, if you are going to minister to sinners, you have to address whether sinners are welcome to partake of the sacraments...which include communion...and MARRIAGE. But, really - that doesn't take much consideration: Nowhere in the Bible does it say sacraments should be denied to sinners. Clearly, that would be counter-productive, illogical, and un-Christian. After all, YOU take communion, don't you? Despite the fact that you sin. So the sacraments are NOT rewards, to be granted or taken away depending on your behavior. Centuries of Popes and priests using such things as tools of power and repression have taught us some very un-Christ-like habits.
