• If you have 2 15 watt amps and you hook them together, will the output be 30 watts?

Best answer: Hooked together how? It depends what kind of amps they are if you can bridge their outputs together (strapping) without damaging them. So ever since I got my JBL speakers installed at Best Buy I have been experiencing problems with my subs. The 8” Bazooka Tube sub that I had when the speakers put in was blown, and they said that maybe it was because the frequencey knob was turned all the way up (yeah, they definitely were the ones who did that and I never got refunded). Luckily I had a spare 10” bazooka that I quickly hooked up today (it was a direct fit so i didnt redo any wiring), but after drivig about 30 minutes I had to pull over and look at it: At first I thought it was just playing quietly, but i opened my trunk and there was no sound at all coming from it. I then picked it up and moved it around a little bit, and it plays if I tilt it just the right way. However the sound that does come from it is muffled. Its almost as if some wire is loose.... Im not terribly experienced with wiring and all that, so please reply in simple terms...

    Best answer: Yes.

  • How to fix a broken auxilliary port?

We own a 2009 Nissan Murano. We had an auxilliary cable plugged into the audio ports. One of them broke in the port and we are unable to fish it out. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get it out? Can I remove the center console easily to get to it? Do I need to take it in? How much can I look at paying?

I had to make some assumptions -- primarily actual power and tuning freq. of the ported box (mid-upper 30's? Not a lot of difference in results between 35-45).

Basically there's a ~3db advantage in output for the cvr from 40-60hz so it will be noticeably louder in that range.
But the CVR it is not as consistent (flat) as the Classic.

What I see in the frequency response (FR) curves is what is expected comparing a sub geared for SQ to a sub geared for "easy" bass (bass in the 40-60hz range.

I think an SQ purist would tell you the classic actually sounds good -- flat, consistent -- a slow roll-off and no ripple.
The cvr is giving you boom where it's not really supposed to be -- it shows up as a 3db ripple (bump) in the FR from 40 to about 80. The problem is a lot of us like that boom even though it's not necessarily intended by the artist/engineer.

You may be learning that an SPL oriented sub in a big ported box may be more to your liking.

Best answer: I believe I have answered one of your previous question about xmax.

Fs is the frequency at which the woofer will resonate in free air (produce). It is measured in hertz (hz).

A woofer is designed to produce the low end from 20hz to 250hz. When setting up and tuning your amp, set the LPF (low pass filter) to 120hz. When the LPF is set to 120hz, the amp will cross out the frequency at which the woofer will not produce anything higher than 120. The LPF can be set a little lower to 80 depending on your preference.

Most people only pay attention to the RMS, the quality of the woofer and whether if the woofer is DVC or SVC. The RMS is what we ALL attentionally focus on. The RMS is the amount of electrical power measured in watts that the voice coils can handle without failure, smoking and burning out.

Both connected to yel/red should work too, but no memory.

If that s not what you re getting there s either a problem with the car s wiring or the radio -- unless you ve made a mistake identifying the car s wiring.

Even having installed several different HU s over the years I would never cut into the car s wiring. Always use a wiring harness. Prob ~$5 on ebay for that car.
