  • My 3rd grade daughter is doing bad in school, waits until 9pm to do her homework, and constantly has a bad attitude and hits her 6 yr ?

Best answer: You're her parent. You determine when she does her homework, not her. What is a child in 3rd grade doing up past 9pm anyhow? What time does she get up in the morning? Is she getting enough sleep? You ll have to take the distractions away from her, yes that means a laptop (which at that age she doesn't need... show more

You ll have to take the distractions away from her, yes that means a laptop (which at that age she doesn't need her own anyhow) and her TV privileges.
She s acting out and acting violent. You've likely waiting too long already but you better get her under control. It s not going to get any better.
School work should be her priority. You need to be the one to make it that way. She seems to be doing ok in some courses and not in others. If she's struggling, maybe you need to help her and.or get her help so she can excel.

  • How can we get into other areas now?. I don't. see the forum list?

Best answer: Click one of the subject tags above any question (eg "yahoo products" above this).

That gives you a navigation header on the page.

If you don't see the section you want click the top left "all categories" link with that header and start from there.

My daughter is 10 and quite honestly is a handful and very head strong. II do choose my battles, something’s are not worth fighting her on and II know it. But other things are important enough to me, such as doing homework, picking up her room, listening to her teacher, respecting others and doing whatever chores II ask her to do that II will discipline her. II try timeout, taking away privileges, grounding for 2-3 Days etc and she just thinks it’s funny and it has no effect on her. Also my husband is in medical school residency through the military and he’s often gone and II have two other kids and a house to manage and don’t have time or energy to battle with her every night. So if no other discipline works and she just laughs and refuses to do what is being asked II do resort to spanking her, which worked and got her to do what II asked until a few days ago when she has started laughing about that too. II was doing it with her panties down and doing it for a minute or two and now she just laughs and says doesn’t hurt. I ended had her evaluated by a therapist and she said she can’t detect a problem she is just a little defiant . My husband told me to try using a wooden spoon but I’m so worried about getting in trouble for doing that. I️ Just am at a total loss!

I got married to my husband around a year ago after we had been dating for a while. He has 3 children who are now my stepdaughters - aged 16, 14 and the youngest has just turned 10. The youngest daughter seems to be extremely immature for her age and she has regular tantrums like a pre school child if even the smallest thing doesn't go her way. If she doesn't get to sit in her preferred place at the dinner table, a tantrum will follow shouting, screaming at the top of her lungs, crying, throwing objects. Sometimes it gets so bad that a neighbour will come over and ask if everything is ok. Also if we are going somewhere in the car and she doesn't get to go where she wants to go she will scream, cry and kick the seats so much that we often have to stop the car and calm her down. She has tantrums in public too over things but is small for her age so gets away with it. We are at breaking point and we can't let her tantrums control everything anymore. She was the youngest child when her parents divorced and when she was born her mother aka my husband's ex wife neglected caring for her and the other children due to her regular affair with another man. Me and my husband have suspected she may as a result have an attachment disorder which based on our research might be the cause of her immature mentality and behaviour. Would it be a good idea to seek professional help?

THE BIG DEAL IS OUR DOING WRONG, DESERVING JUSTICE, HAVING NO EXCUSE NOT TO BELIEVE IN GOD AND NOT AGREEING TO THE LEGAL TRANSACTION MADE ON THE CROSS OF CHRIST FOR US.

Those things would be so absolutely shallow and completely undesirable in heaven where God is the source of fullness of joy. Still desiring the things of this life shows one has not yet come to Christ and become God's child
