You came to US at age.... what it is. A child of two does not have the same life experiences as a child of ten or an Adult of age 30 GET OVER IT.

A child remembers basically after they leave home as in start school. They talk more with others and their teachers than most do at home.
So getting technical you BORN in India
You moved to the USA and are probably now a US Citizen You can call yourself Indian American if you WANT TO. Your parents did not give you US citizenship the US government did.
Your SISTER was not born in India your Sister is an American with Indian ancestors. She might qualify for Indian Citizenship. Your sister was born a Unites States Citizen and possibly a Citizen of India.

Your Mother was BORN in India grew up in India and moved as an Adult to USA. She like you is an Indian American.

I have the exact same experiences of my sister. NO YOU DO NOT and never will.

You see the world with your eyes, you hear the world with your ears NOT HERS.

"That is how it would be" ONLY what you think it should be.

Because you being born someplace else meaning you can’t live freely here.Where did that come from?
does that mean if you are born in city X you must remain in city X for the best outcome.
If you were born in town Y it is not possible to move to city B

You don’t have go through all that naturalization process.YOU DO NOT HAVE TO it has already happened you said..
If you ever want to travel to visit the lands of your ancestors or some other place you will need a Passport from somewhere. For you much easier to get one set aside for US Citizens.

The ones for an Indian Citizen not living in India get a little complicated.

She does not seem to understand. She does not HAVE TO She has memories of some other place that she grew up and called home for years and years.

You are what is commonly called a First Generation Immigrant if you want the technical.
Your sister is a member of First Generation Born in USA YOU are not.
So what are you? Easy lets take your DNA and staple the results to your forehead.
Next to it you will have your Birth certificate saying where on the planet you arrived.
Your mother was there when you were born. Sadly it is just how it works dad could be some random guy nine months before you were born. You are half mom and half dad whoever that is.
It appears for you it was two Indian Citizen Parents that decided to move when you were a small child.
Crossing the ocean did not change your ethnic origins it did not change the place you were born but it did change the place you grew up. Guess what it is not the same place mom and dad grew up and for a while was not the same place your sister EVENTUALLY arrived on scene to grow up in.
The USA despite what many claim is a country filled with immigrants from many countries. Over the centuries most have mixed it up and blended in. MOST immigrants came from Europe some were from England.

some claim to trace their families back to the Mayflower and say they are the First Americans. Well it is clearly stated in the history there were people already there that greeted them and taught them how to survive.

You can blame some explorer in 1400's for making a mistake and calling those he saw as Indians. For 700 years that mistake is born by American Natives.
United States Citizens came only after there was a United States country. The Americas and Americans have been around for a lot longer.

Your ethnic roots are yours your family tree. The team you cheer for is the team you cheer for. Most cheer for the home team.

So on vacation if this happened again which team would you cheer for? You are allowed to cheer for both and just enjoy a good game.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1gmsoWBQQQ
Would mom and Dad also cheer for the same team you would? Do they HAVE TO?

You can be a blond haired Buddhist from Parents born in India. You probably "look" Indian
Guess what Nationalities are not handed out in the womb.
That happens after you move out and some government official registers your arrival on planet earth and you get some Nationality a way to label each countries citizens.

You are what you are and only you can decide what you want to call yourself or just nit pick over some technical detail or arbitrary definition of some other person.

She s worked as a nurse in the Philippines for 5yrs and I d like to know if and how it s possible for her to obtain a nursing job here. Also, it may be worth mentioning that I m in the military (frequent moving) which could limit her ability to work if nursing requirements vary state by state. Detailed answers or resource links would be much appreciated.

  • Do Canadians need a visa to come the United Sates of America??

Best answer: Not to travel around here. If they want to study here, they will need a certificate from the enrolling institution. If they want to settle here and hope eventually to become citizens, they'll need a employer-sponsored work visa or some relative to sponsor them.

  • Why don’t people want the wall?

I mean, we are supposed to have one, right? Why not make it a better wall? It’s like if you drive a beater car from the 90s and someone offers you a new car, you would take it, right? Also, the wall is going to “pay for itself” somehow. Lol. But, other than cost, why don’t people want the wall?

  • If the quality of life were to improve in Mexico and South America ie. housing, good jobs, would this help stop illegal immigration?

Best answer: You've got it wrong. Today the primary source is Central America (Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvadore, and Honduras) due to high crime, government corruption, violence, and poverty in those countries. If this were resolved it would likely have the effect of lowering refugee numbers.
