you see a Harley 2 wheel bike and then one of those Can Am 3 wheel bikes where it looks so less complicated. Thanks.

  • If the Suzuki Hayabusa reaches its top speed limited at 186 mph and with the rpm in redline, then could it run much more...?

Best answer: I believe that top speed in top gear is reached way before the red line on the rev counter. The speed is limited by the power being able to overcome the forces which are trying to slow it which is mainly the air resistance. I've checked the float valves, main and pilot jets as well as inlet and exhaust valve clearances. It's driving me mad!

  • Is it legal to drive my scooter in the bike lane in San Francisco?

Best answer: No, a 125cc scooter is considered a motor vehicle and it is not legal to use the bicycle lane unless you turning or entering/leaving the roadway.

However, for me, the combination of exposure to caged vehicles coupled with tiny wheels (think bumpy roads), an underpowered engine and weak brakes (relative to other vehicles), scooters have nearly all the disadvantages of two wheeled transport and few of the advantages. Give me a proper motorbike any day of the week. That said, I ride a scooter these days because I don’t want to buy a car or take a taxi for the 10-minute school run where there's no public transport. Cheap and convenient, on my scooter I can scythe through the rush hour traffic. But I do so with gritted teeth and bulging eyes!
