Will Expedia make it?
Favourite answer:I expect Expedia are in the middle of trying to sort out thousands upon thousands of requests. You should contact your insurance company (you would have been silly to book a trip without holiday insurance) as they might be able to sort you out quicker.

Why do certain people not like the French?
Just because you met some snobs in Paris doesn't mean all of the French are somehow arrogant. I'm Irish, i love France, the people are so kind, even French people I've met in Ireland are very nice, one guy saw me wearing a beret years ago and was so delighted to see me wearing one, he was so nice and in the last year i have met two blonde french girls in Ireland and they were very good looking girls, blonde hair, beautiful bodies...and i have been to Carcassonne twice and Brittany twice, i went to so many beautiful places, had great food, i thought most of the people were nice and i keep a place in my heart for France -- i feel a sense of love when i think about it.

If France is a developed country, why can't the people there speak English ?
Favourite answer:Even I know that cul-de-sac doesn't mean "Throw out the bag" but there are some guys at work that think Fragile is French for Football.

Has anyone ever been arrested in Paris for taking a pic of the Eiffel Tower at night?
Is that a real law or one of urban legends?

Where to go from Paris for 2-3 days before heading to Oktoberfest.?
A friend and I scored real cheap tickets from the US to Paris. We have about a week there, but both of have been to much of France already. We ve also spent tons of time in Ireland, England and Italy. We know we re spending 3-4 days in Munich for Oktoberfest. Where else should we go for a guys trip that will be relatively cheap but have good nightlife.

How safe is Paris currently for a tourist?
Favourite answer:Generally - safe.
Just like any big European city (ie as long as you're not wandering alone at 3am, or leaving your bag open in prime pickpocket areas, you're unlikely to have many issues)

Where in Paris can I get a good picture of the Eiffel Tower?
I'm going to Paris tomorrow for a day and would love to get a picture of the Eiffel Tower when the lights are turned on. Unfortunately, I'll have to be at Gare du Nord station around the time that happens. Does anyone know any good spots/streets etc that is fairly close to the station in which I can get a good snap of the tower from?
