The general manager of a travel agency in Florida called Shiny Seas texted me and told me to call a number and press 7 for more info about the cruise. There was a recording going into detail about the options of resorts I could choose from, I had the option of extending the cruise and of course I would have to pay for transportation and things like that. I have 18 months to book and 4 days to claim it, but I’ve never done anything like this in my life and I keep thinking there had to be a catch or it’s a major scam. I’ve heard the horror stories. If it was legit though this would be a great trip to go on. So is it real for fake?

  • Why do Jews hate to be criticized?

Best answer: Who likes to be criticized? Most individuals do not like to receive criticism, regardless of whether they are Jewish or not. It's human nature to be seen as the best or, simply, not failing in what you should be doing well.

That is entirely different than tolerating criticism. People who don't like criticism can tolerate it, and use it to get better....and most Jews do that. Those who can't tolerate criticism aren't incapable of doing so because of their Jewishness; rather, it's a flaw more unique to them as individuals.

The Jews have withstood millennia of harsh criticism, often taking it without complaint because they historically didn't have the safety to argue or criticize back.

As for me, personally: I've been criticized my entire life. I've had papers and grant requests thrown back in my face, with one time a professor being very critical of what I had turned it. I hated it, but took what she was saying in and tolerated the criticism quite well all things considered. I'm Jewish, so clearly your thing cannot be an absolute rule; however, let me just say that if you were to really look at Jewish society you'll find that I'm not even a rare exception at least! Perhaps you are confused because Jews, IMO at least, are more likely to fire back when criticized, instead of just taking it. Criticizing criticism is fine too, ya know, if one sees the criticism as flawed, invalid, or outright wrong. I do that often here, with some of my "critics" who aren't very critical to say the least.

  • How to stay hydrated in a hot day?!?

I am going to Las Vegas this summer and I hear it's very hot over 100+ degrees! I want to know how to stay hydrated besides water. I know water helps you a lot but what else? I'm a fragile girl who loves the cold weather more, what should I do before I go?

  • "2 baggage items of 23kg" What does this mean?

I just bought two adult tickets for a flight, and on the ticket, it says; Total: 2 baggage items of 23kg That means each person has got right to carry 23 kilos of a baggage? I'm not native English speaker, so I want to make sure that I'm doing the right thing while booking
