Mr John Craig, 34 from Sunderland in the UK, had been spear-fishing underwater in Western Australia on Friday when he surfaced after seeing a shark. He was surprised to see his boat, crewed by a local Australian speed off without him. He had to swim for three and a half hours back to shore with a tiger shark stalking him. The Australian man who abandoned him had notified the Shark Bay Volunteer Marine Rescue Team and they found him 30 minutes after he reached the shore. Mr Glen Ridgley, from Shark Bay Volunteer Marine Rescue said, "I could not believe that someone could swim that far in such a short period of time." You probably shouldn't go diving in somewhere called Shark Bay, especially when your only support is an Australian.
