I had an appointment this morning(saturday) with my school counselor, but also had a meeting for olive garden. I did not make the olive garden meeting due to meeting with my school counselor instead. After both meetings were done, i was also scheduled to work that day. I came on time, and my manager sent me home because i did not show up to the meeting. Is this allowed? Could i take this to corporate? Im upset because these are the days i make money and now i cant work because of a school counselor meeting i chose to attend instead. (School comes first for me) what should I do? Is this fair?

  • My ex-husband is harassing me through his Facebook account. Can I get a restraining order for this?

Best answer: No, you can't get an order prohibiting him from posting to HIS Facebook account. Your attorney can use the posts against him in the settlement negotiations.

I know, it sounds silly but hear me out. I am a freelance animator. I was commissioned by a client 6 months ago for a project. They agreed to pay all of the fee upfront excluding 5 dollars because they were short on cash. They agreed that they would pay the remaining 5 dollars the day after the project was finished (6 months ago as well). They were happy with the final product and said they would pay the remaining 5 immediately, yet they still haven't. It is a small amount but it is important to me that my business does not let anyone skip out without paying the full agreed price. Monthly I would remind them and they would send me screenshots of their empty paypal account and make excuses. 2 months ago they stopped responding all together. It wasn't until yesterday that they finally got back to me. This time, rather than making excuses and sob stories, they proceeded to mock me by jokingly saying things like "lemme see da product" as if they were pretending it was a drug deal. I could care less about 5 bucks, I wanna get this punk for the principle of the situation. I don't want him or anyone to think they can get away with stealing money online. Can I legally dox him to send him a lawyer's note to scare the **** out of his pea brain? What would be the best legal way to ensure he pays for holding money from me for 6 months?

My name wasn t specifically mentioned however, the mention of my stepdaughter name and "stepfather" was mentioned (which leaves no name mentioned and is blaitenly obvious) directing that I should be checked by her dad to cause problems.

  • Why is it illegal to shoot someone breaking into your home in some states?

Best answer: Everyone should be able to defend themselves with deadly force when it comes to trespassers on their property. This will in turn make possible thieves think twice before breaking in, thus maybe helping them to understand why stealing is bad. Absolutely ludicrous that some people have been wrongly prosecuted simply... show more

I parked my work van and when I got out of my van to make my delivery this woman in a car screamed out at me "LEARN TO F*CKN DRIVE!!!" It was a bad day to begin with and so I yelled some choice words back and after I said what I said she hopped a curb before she got out of her car and she started walking towards me in a hostile nature so I threatened her (out of self defense) and she got back in her car and drove off. Well, about 3 hrs later I get a call from my boss telling me that I was terminated and to park the van and someone would be coming to get the van because that woman went to the police and filed a complaint and that she was trying to press assault charges. The whole thing was verbal. She yelled at me, I yelled back, then she got out of her car and started to walk towards me very angrily so out of self defense I threatened her and she backed off and drove away after some more choice words. It was your everyday case of verbal road rage. At no time did the whole situation become physical. I wish I would have had the incident on tape. Well, now I lost my job and I also have no criminal record. If charged, this would be a first offense. Shouldn't the police have contacted me, made a visit to my house or at least some form of contact been made by now? My boss gave the police all my info, my address, my phone number and social was given to the police from my boss because my boss said the police requested that information from him. This was 3 weeks ago.
