  • What is a good topping for a bed of white rice?

Best answer: If you mean sauce, then I'd say soy sauce. If you mean food, then any meat or vegetable.

  • Can you substitute butter with margarine in a recipe for chocolate chip cookies?

We re having a bake sale at school, and I want to make chocolate chip cookies to sell with this recipe: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/food-... It calls for unsalted butter, but I was wondering if I could use margarine instead, in order to save costs? Would that affect the taste/texture of the cookies?

  • A casserole just fell out of the refrigerator and onto the kitchen floor. How terrible would it be for me to scoop it back into the dish?

Best answer: No one has suggested the obvious. Stick it back in the oven and heat it to simmering. That should sterilize the stuff even if your floor is dirty. I never wear shoes in my home and keep my floors very clean. I was amused when a friend told me he had spilled spaghetti sauce into his sink and had to wash it down the drain. I laughed and told him my sink is probably cleaner than his kitchen table......By the way, the 5 second rule is a myth.

  • Can I freeze vegetables with butter?

Hi all, In an effort to increase my vegetable intake I sometimes steam frozen vegetables and add butter to them. I'm wondering if I can freeze the butter with the vegetables so I can literally just throw the container in the microwave. Thanks!
