Best answer: The truth is, you only need about two or three million to stop working permanently, and get that amount or more in interest, just from a regular term deposit or real estate, but the more you have, well, people get greedy and want for example women who like money, those women often like drugs, which well, I think Mike Tyson spent a hundred million on drugs and mansions and tigers in less than a decade. I mean, I kind of agree with you, I have about the same, my dad lives in my house and pays me rent, I have enough to save, or pay off the small amount left in my home loan with but my house didn't cost a million, it cost sixty nine thousand, ten or fifteen years ago. House prices tripled since then, at least they did here, and if wages don't match the prices in property, people can't pay the rent, which must go up to match it, eventually. Basically, some people need more than others, some people like more than others, but there's a basic standard of living that everyone should have, and I would say personally, it shouldn't be much below you or me, for anyone, on earth, and if we could learn to share, it doesn't need to be.

  • Can banks clear a cheque for an account that is overdrawn?

Some fraudsters got a hold of my account and paid in a cheque in my name (forged) of the amount £9500. My account was already overdrawn by almost £1000 (I have a student overdraft limit of £1000). Was it right for the bank to let the cheque clear?

  • What percentage of your salary should you save yearly?

Best answer: 10% is a realistic goal to start with, and increase the percentage over time. 50+ to retirement are the prime years for building savings, and those years we were putting away between 20% and 25% of what we earned.

I’m a 20 year old who hasn’t had a real job in her life . Once I graduated high school in 2016 I started to apply to different places to work but nothing really worked out .Around July 2017, a person I know from church had her baby boy and she needed help to babysit since she does house cleaning and needed the money to pay bills for herself. So she asked me if I could babysit her baby for $25 a day at first . But then 5 months passed by and I left for a trip with my family and during the trip I asked her through text if she could pay me more than $25 but she said only $30 and nothing more than that, and I was fine with that. But around January this year she started to take advantage, she would leave me with her kid almost 12 hours a day . I honestly hated it . Yes I got a certain amount where I’m able to save up and buy my stuff but it’s not worth staying a whole day with a kid for a little amount of money. So I was wondering if I should continue with her ?this November I will be leaving to pickup my grandma in New York and I want to spend my time with my grandma and not worry about babysitting. I honestly will be taking a whole month off but I don’t think that the kids mom will want me to miss out since she has to work every day .But she has other people. My point is that if I take the amount of time off the kid will no longer recognize me and she will basically take the whole gig away from me .Should I leave the job and find something else or stay there and earn nothing.

  • Are you supposed to start a new online banking account every time you get a new card even if you have the same account?

My previous debit card recently expired and I activated my new card over the phone but I can't access my online banking. I'm sure I didn't forget my username or password because I wrote that down on paper and I just recently started online banking in the past month.

I have the credit and the money to lease one, here is my delimma, I own a 2017 Honda fit that i am upside down in, i owe 18500 and the car is literally worth 9500. I pay 450 dollars for a car that sucks because of this because i traded in another car and got upside down, the people at the dealership didnt tell me i was young and dumb. I own two cars, a Chevy Cruze and a Honda Fit I purchased a Chevy for my mom to work initially but then i liked it and we switched. Well she banged up my honda fit and now its not worth much. Its got 35k miles on it and I feel like I should trade it in NOW while its worth what its worth. At-least ill have a range rover. Heres the bad part, I have like 8 thousand saved up in total. I can put the down payment of 5k but my lease payments will go up to 700, which i can afford because I can reimburse myself from my business for my business percent usage of the car- which i am not able to now because of me being in a finance loan instead of a lease. I figure ill just buy the car or get a loan for it after the lease. I love range rovers and i take care of my cars. I have never been into an auto accident. I live in Los Angeles, and I have saved money to own a home but im 22 and that will be a while till i can own a home so i figure just start small buy me a nice car. atleast ill get rid of this honda fit everyone looks things i dinged it up but i didnt. I went to apply today and it was not denied the bank just closed while i was there .

When I checked my balance today it said I owed 75$ I was outraged and they apologized and said I had to pay it though even though it was there fault. Will someone give me advice. I do not want to pay them just because of the principle. They said they would report it to a collection agency and I would be on a blacklist and not be able to open another account. My question is will I go to court over 75$ should I worry. I’m using a prepaid debit card right now anyways.

  • Why would your parent need your paycheck stubs?

Best answer: There's no way for her to pay her bills from your paycheck stubs. If she wants to know how much money you make, she should ask you. Then, if you think she has a good reason for knowing, you can tell her. Or you can tell her it's not her business. Almost sounds like she's trying to pull some sort of scam. show more
