Basically long story short the loan was placed at a "dealership" in Nebraska where you put a certain amount down and then pay per month. It was never financed through a bank; anyway I had to go to Florida with the Americorps National Community Service Program for one year and I voluntarily released the car back to the original creditors. I get done with my service contract and I went home to Nebraska then I ask if I can get my car back then while on the phone to the creditors they said that since I left the state I broke the contract and I'm not eligible to get the car back and I saw that they have the car for sale back on their sales lot. I checked my credit report and they are still showing it as an active account and it was updated January 12th, 2017 that I'm late on payments and am active account. What's the next step do you think?

  • When cosigning a car loan (or any loan), couldn't the bank take money from your account and notify you when a payment was missed?

Couldn't they set up car loans so that payments will be made by the cosigner regardless of whether the main loanee doesn't make their payments? And couldn't they notify the cosigner when a payment was missed? That way, the cosigner's credit won't be damaged, but the main loanee's credit is.... show more

I ordered two things from Victoria’s Secret Pink, and it says that my orders have been cancelled. I did not cancel them. Why has this happened and does this mean my money has been returned to my card?

To get a car salesman job is pretty easy. You just have to look presentable and be a good talker. That's about it. There is no drug test. There is no pre-requisite, you don't even need a high-school diploma.

I've never met at a car salesman that was appealing personally. I've worked at car dealerships as a mechanic and they're just... Scumbags.

Best answer: If you pay it off that quickly there is any chance your bank won’t report it to the credit reporting agencies. It’s not like the moment you take out a loan it magically appears on your credit report. The bank has to tell them about it, which can take a couple of months for them to get around to doing. If the account is closed before they report its existence in the first place, they likely won’t bother reporting it at all.

Also, length of account history matters. Simply making one on time payment and then closing the account isn’t going to do much for you, and the effect begins to diminish immediately. Simply applying for the loan in the first place will lower your score, so it’s not even a guarantee that you would come out ahead.

Also important to note that the bank made you that loan expecting to earn a certain amount of interest. They will certainly take your early payment, but given the administrative effort to set up your loan, they will probably lose money on the deal. That could affect their willingness to make a similar type of loan to you in the future should you genuinely need one down the road

  • What is the best credit card to get that has air miles & gives back money?

Best answer: Using your credit card and paying in full costs you nothing and gets you something so you may as well do that. Not paying in full and paying a silly high rate of interest cancels out any benefit so is a waste of time.
