Best answer: Simple answer Suzi - don't do it. Not until you get some freeway practice with someone riding with you who is an experienced driver. You're an accident waiting to happen and hazard to yourself and others. And, since you mentioned "sneaking away", this suggests you don't have authorized use of the car, which is considered theft, even if your parents own it. An erratic driver on the freeway is a cop magnet. And, if you were to get into an accident, the insurance most likely won't cover it unless you're a named insured driver on the policy. Bad ideas usually have bad consequences, and you have a very bad idea.

In late December, I will be driving from LA to Vancouver. I will be in a truck with 4x4 and I will have chains. What can I expect as far as road conditions go if I stick close to the coast line? As I pass through Seattle and head to Vancouver will I have to use chains or can I get by without them? Any advice ?

Best answer: Find out what you need to do to qualify to take the drivers test. I used my parents car for the road test to get my license You don't know what you're doing and need to find out. Call you DMV. That's what they're there for.

  • Give me ONE(1) good reason why I shouldn't be able to go 100 miles an hour on the highway?

Best answer: If every one would drive that fast it may be safe. But not every one has the skills to drive that fast. So we have to compromise. That way it is fair for every one.

  • Is 215 horsepower enough?

Best answer: For commuting, 40bhp is enough. My 70bhp Fortwo can do 90mph. 215bhp is enough to get you over 130mph.

"Is 215 horsepower enough?" depends on how stupidly fast do you want to go.

  • Stick shift>Automatic?

Best answer: All of my vehicles have been stick shift and it's what I prefer majority of the time but even I will agree that driving a manual transmission in stop n' go traffic can be tiring.

I won't look down on someone for driving an automatic car, even though it's not my personal preference.
