  • Do people really find Ellen DeGeneres funny?

I've seen her show recently and she says the most dumbest things. I think she tries to be funny. I also think they make a sound board to make the crowd laugh. Am I the only one that thinks this? How is she a comedian?

  • What did you think of the Game of Thrones Season 8 trailer?

Best answer: Not much of a trailer, really. Still looking forward to the show's return, but I'll need to brush up since it's been a while.

Best answer: In my experience, it's a hard show to get into. I attempted to watch it three times before I enjoyed it and saw what the fuss was all about. It's a complex show and it throws you immediately into the deep end with the multiple characters and plots all branching off and taking place separately (it also didn't help me that the characters all had strange names, so for a long time I couldn't connect the names and faces). Also, at the beginning the build-up is rather slow, you have to be willing to commit and see the plots unravel over the season.

However, it might not be your kind of thing. Just because it's so popular doesn't mean everyone will like it. It's a complex show but I'd categorise it as a fantasy-action show that resembles the medieval period (although it's set in a fictional universe so isn't completely historically accurate and takes inspiration from various periods in our history). It's very dark with a lot of violence, battles, death, brutality and rape, so if you're looking for something that's going to cheer you up after a bad day, this isn't going to be the right show for you. There are a lot of characters and most of them have their own separate arcs so you also need to be able to keep up with multiple stories/characters all unfolding alongside one another. Being a fantasy story means there are a lot of supernatural elements to it such as dragons, giants, wights and white walkers (the equivalent of zombies but unique to the GOT/ASOIAF universe), there are other complicated magical elements that take place throughout the seasons. So if any of this sounds like something you wouldn't like, it's probably not worth giving it another try.

However, it is a great show and the fact that you haven't gotten into it yet, doesn't mean you won't if you try to watch it again. Personally, I'd recommend watching all of season 1, which is only 10 episodes. I didn't start to enjoy it until the end of season 1, because that's when the plots really take off and I finally started to get to know the characters. If you get to the end of season 1 and still aren't enjoying it, then it's clearly not for you.

Dark Shadows, for instance. Wonderfalls, for a more modern one. The most famous one is the original Star Trek. Three years, cancelled, now it's a gigantic franchise. That was because it developed FANS. Rabid loyal fans that got famous, too. Trekkies, anyone? Fans saved that show from dying an obscure, forgotten death. Cult shows often get more love than your most widely watched, awarded shows.

I think the absurdly high price is a big factor.

A lot of the companies gloat at how many channels you get. You can get hundreds of channels, but most of them are terrible and filled with annoying ads. Oh yeah, and I forgot about the horrid "reality" TV shows. I once made the mistake of watching Keeping up with the Kardashians before I knew what horrific things they were. Big mistake.

In addition, most of the cable companies charge you fees without telling you and they charge you idiotic fees for their outdated and horribly slow cable boxes. If they're going to price gouge you, they should at least provide quality devices that aren't laggy.

  • Do you like pawn stars the Tv show?

Best answer: It was interesting the first two times I viewed it.
However, There was something queer about it, which then realized it must have been scripted. Too many odd bits, and "authorities" too easily available.

Later it was shown to be a Staged banter, already agreed prices, and an act. "Reality TV".
