  • Whats your opinion on using thermal or night vision optics for hunting?

For pest removal (hog, coyote, raccoon, etc.) I don't think people have an issue with. But for hunting do you think it gives the hunter an unfair advantage, and removes the fair chase between hunter and the game he/she chases?

Secondly, pump action shotguns are reliable and can be extremely deadly with the right ammunition. As a backup, a 9x19 HS-2000 or HS-9. It is a pistol i am very familiar with. And again 9x19mm ammunition is fairly common. And for melee/stealth, a machete. Silent, deadly and less likely to get stuck in flesh if used properly. Now i know a zombie apocalypse is scientifically impossible. I am just asking for fun.

  • Is it very hard to conceal a full size beretta or sig sauer?

I got my concealed carry permit. In the winter, it is easy to carry them inside my jacket. But in July, I only wear T shirts and jeans and figured out that it was impossible to pu them inside my pants. I m 5-7 and 135lbs. Are there any other products that allows you to carry a beretta 92 concealed in the summer?

ive always loved the 32 round. dont ask me why. maybe i was assassinated by one in a past life. but heres my idea take a henry big boy lever action rifle, chambered for 327, load it with just 32shorts. i have everything to reload and smelt 32 rounds. if i did my math right, 32short is .92oal and 327 is 1.47oal 50... show more

A. would it have feeding issues? B.since the gun is chambered for 327, would it even be possible to accidentily overcharge a 32 short while staying at the .92 oal? C. if i used standard 32 short loads, which are like...1,2 grains of hp38 would it even go down the barrel? D. if it didnt make it through the barrel using standard 32 short rounds, is there really enough pressure in 1,2 grains of hp38 powder under a 90grain bullet to damage the gun? assuming i dont catch the lack of impact. and just to stop it before it starts. why? 32 short is fun to plink. like 22's only reloadable. "just get an ar15" answers are also predictable and very pointless. didnt mean to sound snobby..but you guys know how it goes. thanks for reading

  • Does deer meat ever expire in the freezer?

That doesn't mean it will be good to eat, meat in the freezer will get freezer burn (due to dehydration and oxidation). Freezer burnt meat is safe to eat, just not great from a texture and taste perspective.

See link below for guidelines related to how long meat will maintain its quality in the freezer (meaning avoiding freezer burn). My experience with deer meat is that if vacuum packed, you don't really see much freezer burn up to a year.

  • Which is better, 9×19mm Parabellum or .45 ACP?

Best answer: For almost every use, the 9mm would be superior. If you were hiking in grizzly bear country, the .45 would not be the best weapon, but would be better than the 9mm.

Not only do I sleep on a $20 Colemen air mattress, I tell everyone I know that if you haven't had the experienced of sleeping on air mattress set at the right pressure, you'll never know what a good night sleep truly is. Three friends mentioned ongoing back aches so I UPSed them queen camping air mattresses from Walmart, which includes the pump all for $30 and my own instructions how to make the best of it. But only two of the friends tried it and to this very day they are still airing it out. In fact, one of them sold their $850 ridiculously overpriced rip off of a latex bed , purchased at Sit&Sleep of all places, that was simply too firm for her and her wife’s lower body mass index. So my question stands, have you ever slept on an air bed and what was your experience?

Best answer: I happen to have rifles in all of the calibers you listed. The differences are not so much with the calibers as with the rifles themselves. My .303 British is the short version often called a jungle carbine. Because of its size, it makes a really good hunting rifle for hunting in dense woods or brush where a longer rifle would be unhandy.

My Mauser was professionally sported with a new stock and a scope. It is a real tack driver and capable of more accuracy than I am.

In .30-06, I have two rifles, one is a Springfield and the other is a Remington 760 Game Getter. The latter is equipped with a Lyman aperture sight and is my favorite Hunting rifle.

I like them all, but my overall favorite is the .30-06 simply because ammo is more readily available in a variety of loads where I live.
