Best answer: There's a HUGE difference between focusing on cake decorating and running a business with cake decorating as only a small part of it.

Stick with what you know. Most decorators work FOR a bakery shop or for a caterer.

And is Mr. 2 million dollars going to run the show? Someone should have a majority interest. You do need an Atty and the answers to these questions most of which you should already know.

I live in an area best described as an economic nightmare. The only reason we don t have 10 percent unemployment is because we lose 2-3 percent of our population every year. I am 54 and in poor health. My wife will not move or sell our house. In 2009 I lost my job. I was earning about $350 per week as a janitorial supervisor. I used my 401k money to start my own janitorial service. When I started, I worked 60+ hours per week for about $2 below minimum wage. I destroyed much of my competition. By 2011 I was up to about $350 per week. I ve been about the same since. In 2014, I lost my biggest account, she forced me to get a retail job, 30 hours per week minimum wage. I did that for 6 months while I struggled to replace that account. 2015-2017, every year was the same time, generally for a very minor reason, like needing $200 for a part to fix a machine. Took a job to earn the $200 ended up losing a $400 month account because the new job would schedule for my needs. This year is because our water bill went up $70. She s flipping. I should give up a $350-400 per week business to take a $200 per week minimum wage job? How does that help? It doesn t. She accuses me of stealing from the business and withholding money from her. Total crap. Its not about my business. It is about destroying me. I can t take it anymore. She controls everything. Everything is in her name. She has threatened to throw me out several times recently. I m ready to walk away. Literally.

The city I live in does not have a girls scout program however other cities in my state do. I wanted to know if it was legal for me to start this kind of program? Or if I would have to actually go through a real girls scout program like the daisies? I plan on having activities planned for the girls and they ll learn how to be confident have courage and all the other things that the real girl scouts learn. It would just be kinda made up because we won t be apart of a specific branch but we will sale cookies and do all the other things that are normally done.

Best answer: Usually by the lawn and not by the hour. You have to estimate the time you expect it would take and set your fee by that. Some lawns are flat and square and easy, some are not even if the same basic size and will take longer so you charge more. I am guessing that you should base your estimate on about minimum wage equivalent. Usually, the people whose lawns you want to cut already have an idea of what they will pay, though. Kind of a difficult thing trying to negotiate so you don't underbid what they will pay or overbid what they will pay.

I suggest going in with a price in your head and ask them what they would pay, and adjust to fit. Depends too whether you are stealing work from someone else, someone you might have to underbid to get the work.

Most of the work I got (way back when) came from replacing another kid that grew too old so the price was already pretty well established, although you could negotiate a bit more. Costs always keep rising with time after all. Once you have a few clients, then you will know what the market is for your area (what to charge new customers). It isn't easy to find someone who has never hired for lawn care before that now wants to.

I've contacted about 4 of them and they NEVER reply They're losing money!! Seriously why? Not even the Chinese manufacturers do this They always reply within a few days Seriously the lack of cooperation between manufacturers and small business is definitely part of the problem we have in the USA of people not supporting small business or starting their own They are part of the problem of the majority of the population being so employee minded The USA manufacturers are seriously gonna completely die off soon because the reason they do this is because they only care about doing business with big companies to get big bucks What a waste Also reason why there's less manufactures than ever and younger folks not even interested in it That's why china is winning Can't blame the consumers if the producers don't care to put any effort to the small guys Personally, if you can't answer any questions or offer any kind of communication to potential clients or customers, dont bother starting a business of any kind

Will I still be protected and able to file a dispute if the sender doesnt send me anything? Or doesnt send me the items as described? Is he being legit and honest or just being sketchy?

Best answer: No. But you will need to hire an experienced CPA ($78,000 to $132,000 salary per year plus benefits) and you will need at least two people each with a BA in accounting to do the basic work that the CPA does not do - ($35,000 to $65,000 per year each plus benefits)

You will need a person trained in Quickbooks - with at least 3 years experience - basically a 'general ledger bookkeeper' to keep office accounts and do the small nagging things that require some 'expertise under guidance' ($28,000 to $42,000 per year plus benefits) and YOU can fill the 'office manager' role - which means you get the clients, you open in the morning, close in the evening, schedule the people who work, make the appointments, order the supplies, make the copies, take the money to the bank and basically take care of everything your staff does not.

You pay yourself ($28,000 to $45,000 per year PLUS YOU get to take part of the quarterly net profit as your compensation for owning the company.)

So ...no. YOU do not have to be a CPA...but you will need one to be successful.
