Ultimately you cannot play them through the disc, however you can buy the playstation 4 edition of the game(s) on the playstation store.

The playstation 4 and 3 are really different, so it s harder to tell, but it has been confirmed that the ps4 is x10 faster than the PS3.
The playstation 3 controllers are really hard to get used to after you hold a playstation 4 controller for 10 seconds at most, and considering you own a ps4 you ll hate the feel of the ps3 controllers.

I suggest you keep your money and save up for something else, maybe extra storage or another controller, those things are awesome!

Best answer: The only difference is the storage space of the internal storage drive. All other components between the systems are the exact same.

Please be aware that storage sizes are measured in COMMERCIAL UNITS, which heavily rounds things off compared to actual usable storage.

    1 Commercial GB = 1,000,000,000 bytes
    1 Actual GB = 2^30 bytes = 1,073,741,824 bytes
    1 Commercial GB = ~0.931 GB

500 commercial GB = ~465.661 GB (minus any OS usage)

    1 commercial TB = 1,000 GB = 1,000,000,000,000 bytes
    1 actual TB = 2^40 bytes = 1,099,511,627,776 bytes
1 commercial TB = ~0.909 TB = ~931.322 GB (minus any OS usage)

Therefore, the 1 TB version of the PS4 Slim has EXACTLY 2.0x the storage space of it's 500 GB counterpart.

  • What improvements will happen when I play Playstation 4 Slim version on a 4K PC monitor on displayport?

    Best answer: None.

PS4 Slim doesn't support Display Port, nor does it support 4k. It only outputs 1080p - and even then most games are still 720p.

One of the things that the PS4 lacks is the backwards compatibility. So here's the thing, what if Sony were to release a new console that essentially is like a more modern day HD version of the PS2 console? By that, I mean this new console is going to be able to play PS1 and PS2 games (Both physical and Digital copies), so if you happen to have the game's disc then you can pop it into the optical drive, or if you had purchased it on the PS3's version of the PS Store, then you can download it and play it. It can also connect to the PS Store, and play the apps like YouTube, Netflix, Crackle, etc., also you can play back media files such as video, music and picture files on this console. It would also have a hard drive to save the files, and a optical drive that reads CD, DVD, and BluRay. So essentially, it'll be like the original PS3, but it's just that it lacks the PS3 backwards capability because the intention of this console is to allow us to play older games from the 90's to mid 2000's but still be able to use a more modern stuffs like BluRay, Netflix, etc. PS. Unless if the servers for popular games like Star Wars Battlefront were back up, no, it doesn't have online multiplayer.
