I am working part time only, I live at family home at the moment but I think it’s time for me to voluntarily leave personally. I was staying because I was waiting till I get a good job after I graduate at uni in a few months but it’s actually not working out for me cos everyday at home it’s trouble and argument with my mum and i can’t carry on living like this. Somebody recommended Section 8 housing to me but idk what that is about. I only know about the priority waiting list. Thanks

I basically have a long trip and I will have to go to both Luton Airport and Victoria Station in London. But I want to know which is a better place to wait? Which is more comfortable. I will be landing at Luton Airport and then Victoria Station to get to my final destination. But I don't know if I should take the early coach out of Luton Airport to Victoria Station(which means I will spend most of my time waiting at Victoria Station) or get the later coach out of Luton Airport to Victoria Station(which means I will spend most of my time waiting at Luton Airport). By the way my wait will start just after midnight, so my wait will be throughout the early hours of the morning when it is dark. I also have a laptop and a heavy bag with me. I just want your opinions as to where is best to wait out of the two places.

Best answer: You go from London St Pancras. There is a Kings Cross St Pancras station on the Underground, and you go there to get to St Pancras. Kings Cross St Pancras is only called that because it serves both stations and they happen to be just across the road from each other, so the Underground didn't bother building two Underground stations, just one big one to serve both! Kings Cross and St Pancras are very definitely separate mainline stations, though, so don't end up in the wrong one.

East Midlands Trains operates trains to Sheffield, so look up train times, fares and book your ticket on their web site https://www.eastmidlandstrains.co.uk/ You can ask for tickets to be posted to you, or if you want to go too soon for them to get to you by post, choose to collect them at St Pancras. (This may also save a postage fee.)

You will find different levels of fare and this next bit is true about all British train companies. An Anytime ticket is the most expensive and does just what it says - you can go any time. An Off-Peak ticket is only valid outside of busy times so you'll see that you can't buy that for some trains. Advance tickets are the cheapest but there are only a limited number on each train, so if you want to go this week, there might not be any left. You have to travel on the specific train you booked to go on and sit in your reserved seat. Advance tickets are only singles, so you need to buy two if you want to come back, and you won't find them under "Return tickets". So if a return is what you want, look under singles as well!

You can book Advance tickets up to 11 weeks in advance and the further ahead you book, the cheaper they will be. So a tip for the future - plan ahead if you can.

Reserving a seat is free so think about that to be sure of a seat. The site will probably do that for you automatically anyway.

  • I am going to London in June what’s a good moderately priced hotel to stay at?

Best answer: What do you consider 'moderately priced'?

Accommodation in London tends to be expensive- and more so during the summer (peak tourism).

You could look at chains, like Travelodge / Premier Inn for generally reasonable priced and decent options

For example, do Black Brits of Nigerian descent socially mix with Black Brits of Jamaican descent? Or do the Black African-Briton community and the Black Afro-Caribbean-Briton community stay seperate? I am just wondering, since Romanichal Travellers and Irish Travellers are both Travellers but socially don’t mix and have their own cultures, societies, traditions, ETC. Is it the same for Blacks? Also would I be correct in assuming that it is Black Brits of Afro-Carribean descent who are stereotyped as being ‘Roadmen’ and they’re the ones who use the South London slang and make Grime Music? Thanks in advance guys.
