• Best excuse for a broken windshield on the inside?

I was arguing with a passenger in my car and they punched and broke my windshield. I have an appointment on Wednesday to get it fixed. I think I’ll be able to hide it from my mom and dad, but if they see it I don’t want to tell them who did it and why. I was thinking of saying a rock hit it but it’s on the inside.... show more

Eventually, I would like to leave retail, and work in a professional career at some point, as my job doesn't pay so well. It is seriously depressing me, I want to get out of this city, and move somewhere in the south of England. It's a bit more expensive to live there though. I know, where I want to move, but I'm not sure about how to get there. What advice does any one have?

  • What would you do if your 4 yr old niece kept hitting you just because you told her to sit in the naughty chair?

Best answer: Ignore the tantrum. Gently restrain her hands if she hits. When she calms down and gets bored with being ignored, you can enforce the punishment. (Though the usual recommendation is one minute per year -- so a 4 year old shouldn't be expected to stay in a time out for more than 4 minutes.) (Also -- just to... show more

I tried to give her some food and she only had a few bites of it. She is more active today though and not just lying on the couch. I missed school this morning because she said she didn't want to go to school. I have work this afternoon though and it is my second day on the job working as a medical assistant. It will look so bad if I call in. I know my daughter feel better but I don't know if I should send her to daycare or not for only about 4-5 hours while I go to work. Please give opinions on what I should do!??

  • Why does my 4 year old only cries sometimes at drop off at preschool?

Best answer: She could have separation anxiety, or perhaps someone is bullying her or abusing her. Ask her what's wrong and schedule a meeting with her teachers to get to the bottom of her outbursts.

I am an 18 year old mom of the most adorable almost 2 year old twins. Because of my age I seem to get a lot of people trying to “help” me make parenting decisions. My MIL has decided that my babies will be weaned before their 2nd birthday in April. At first I was willing to try weaning but I quickly realised they weren’t ready so halted the process. I’m now being accused of babying them and slowing their development... All because I’ve chosen to let them nurse a little bit longer than what’s socially acceptable. My MIL and the rest of the family have said they will not be babysitting or helping with childcare at all until they are weaned. This is hard because my husband works all the time so I am constantly with the babies, and now not able to have any breaks unless I push them to wean. I feel like I’m under so much pressure right now. I really don’t want to wean them, but I don’t think I’m going to be able to cope unless I do. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can very gently wean two babies who aren’t ready?
