  • Will my tv work in Europe (220v)?

I have a Sony television that I plan to move from the U.S. to Europe, where the voltage in the country i'm going is 220v. The label behind tv states: 110v~240v 50/60HZ. Does this mean I only need plug adapter and not converter?

  • My cable (tv,phone, internet) is too expensive at $225 mo, I'm looking for ways to reduce the bill, do you agree with my thinking?

I want to drop Cablevision, along with my landline and get Verizon FiOS just for tv, and use T-Mobile for internet service for my cell and tablet. I really annoys me that Altice, a foreign company, took over Cablevision, lied about not laying off workers in their contract with Cablevision, and now are gouging customers with higher rates. Any other suggestions for cutting cable costs? I tried a digital indoor antenna, but only get about 12 stations.

  • Can a broken CRT TV have long term effects?

Foolishly I broke a CRT TV screen in my basement about a year ago. I opened a window, left the room, cleaned it up after a few minutes and moved it out of the house. I then left the house for a few hours. I held my breath when it first happened so I don’t think I breathed anything in, but my concern is that toxic gasses or powders leaked out in to the air and lingered and I’ve been slowly breathing them in over the course of a year. I read cadmium and lead are carcinogens so I’m very worried about that. Is the risk for that pretty much gone after clean up? Is this something I should be concerned about, or am I just being paranoid? It was a CRT TV model made after the year 2000.

    Best answer: for simplifying ...

on composite signal (yellow), there are signal Y and signal COLOR
on component signals, the green is only signal Y without color signal so we can use the green instead of the yellow but no color
today the green is substituted with the yellow , when the blue and the red loaded ( using component) .. a switch chooses signal Y......when they not loaded, the switch chooses signal composite.....
if we reject signal color from the composite, it wil become signal Y.....filtering ..

check with the GREEN for both .... its label is Y / Video?

you may ask a qualified repairman to make an AUTO-SWITCHING INPUTS ... which one you switch ON first, will work so you have to switch OFF it and switch ON the other device ( being Pr and Pb or not being as a SELECTOR with 4066 switches )
    pardon my poor english
