How can I rewire the wires so that the outlets work independently from the switch like a normal outlet should do like the rest of the house is. I have 3 black and 3 white plus the new black and white wires from the light fixture. I have tried lots of combos but I'm stumped. Any ideas? I really don't wanna call an electrician for something that I have a feeling is easy to fix. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

  • Why did all of my lightbulbs blew at the same time?

    In my apartment literally every single lightbulb went out at the same time, for a moment I thought the power went out but everything else is working. Fridge, microwave, computer, etc. Just curious as to why ALL of the lightbulbs would blow at the exact same time and should I be concerned?

Lifetime warranty on the siding and 10 year warranty on the gutters. Asked my friend and he said I was quoted roughly $3k more than the job would take. Any thoughts? My house is brick so the only siding is on the main bump out window in the front and the gables of the home so I feel like it's really not that much siding.

  • Can I hire a pro to totally hide a crack in concrete driveway?

    I have large cracks in my driveway inbetween where the slabs are supposed to join. About six years ago I tried fixing this myself by mixing concrete and filling in the cracks but the color and contour look very noticable. Can a pro fix it to where you cant even notice it was patched up?

  • Will electric code allow GFI outlets in two rooms to be on the same circuit? What if room 1 is wet & room 2 is dry?

    One room is a butler's pantry, with a sink -- it's a wet room. The other room is a living room. The two rooms do not share a common wall, but they are close. Is it OK for outlets in the (dry) living room to be on the same GFI circuit as outlets in the (wet) butler's pantry?

    no "freon" means there's a leak somewhere in the system. You want maintenance to come out at least every month to check the refrigerant {"freon"} and add more as it leaks out. the frequency of it leaking out is what might lead management to conclude that they have to replace it anyway.

    {you should expect maintenance to add a can of "stop leak" the next time they find the refrigerant pressure too low. It only costs about $60 -- cheap fix if it works.}

    that there were no a/c issues the first two years suggests either that they were less hot than normal or that the unit hasn't started to leak yet. But it probably has now been leaking for six years.

    btw, newer units have higher efficiency and thus use less electricity for the same amount of cooling.

    Best answer: It's local. Water lines connect to YOUR local water supply. Different communities have different resources. Some supplies are shared by more than one community. The town where I lived bought rights to a lake owned by neighboring city because its own lake had become insufficient. From there it goes to a treatment plant and then to distribution to towers. From the towers it goes to the homes and businesses by gravity. Nothing in town is higher than the water tower...gravity can work there.
