• Why do some college students choose to go into huge amounts of debt to attend an expensive school when they could go to a community college?

For me, I went to CC and now have some debt but not much. I should be able to pah it off in 2 years. Also, why would someone go to an expensive school and earn a degree that will not enable to get them a decent job to pay off the debt? Why wouldn't they just go to community college and work to pay for it?

  • Why do colleges teach that money is evil, yet require you give them large sums of money just to hear them tell you that?

Best answer: My university didn't teach that. Maybe you should do a real degree instead of one of the humanities?

I finally have enough money and they no longer have room for housing, I called in they said there will be a waitlist a lot of people are ahead of me. School starts Aug. nineteen What should I do? I qualify for off campus housing but this is a new city and I don’t have money to pay for apartment or furniture right now. Has anyone experienced this before? I never hear about Universities running out of space for students. I do still have classes on hold from the university I’m transferring from, should I take a chance and wait it out or go back to my old college? I don’t have anyone I can speak to about this.

When I dropped out of school at 16, my main purpose and motivation were to return back to education. I was super motivated and so I did. At the age of 21, I started university and then I was also very motivated to finish it. I graduated with quite good grades, and I'm happy about it. I also enjoyed the journey a lot. However, now my life seems doesn't to have a purpose. Previously, my goal used to be quantified by the grades I get, which were contributing to the final outcome, i.e. to finish university. But currently, I'm really struggling to adjust to working life. I just go to work (which I like), get some income, go back home, and repeat. I have nothing to work towards. I'm waiting for this magical moment that will come to me and all of a sudden will give me a purpose. I'm scared that my whole life I will be waiting for it and will end up in the same position, and alone. When I dropped out of school, for some time I didn't have any purpose in life and no one expected of me anything. I actually enjoyed it. But now, after graduating from uni, for some reason I feel that I should go and achieve something. I expect from myself much more now and I don't enjoy life. I don't go out anywhere and stopped consuming alcohol, which is a big part of socialising. I'm isolating myself when I know people my age (26) should go on adventures. I just realised the question I wish to ask. How do you make life an adventure again, just like it was when I had a purpose to finish university?

I submitted all the work except for the final paper which worth 500/3700. I got A in all the assignments and I noticed that that he didn't grade the final paper. I sent him an email and he said that I'm 3 days late and he simply ignored my emails. I kept sending him emails and he simply ignored me. I got a zero for the paper and my grade dropped from A+ to B. What should I do? Is it my fault or his fault that I got a zero for that assignment? I think he is too harsh?

I am 19 years old and I’ve been in college for two semesters and I feel like it just isn’t for me. Long story short I’ve been going through some things in my personal life and all I want to be is happy. My happiness is my success and I don’t feel that college is my path, Luckily I’m attending junior college for free so I didn’t waste any money. I don’t have a plan right now but the way I look at it is that it’s okay to not know what you want to do or not be career oriented. Not everybody is meant to be an engineer, doctor, nurse or make six figures. I’m honestly okay with being average but anyway when I do apply for another job later do I have to put anywhere on my resume that I even attended college?
