  • Is 23 too old to start a Community college?

Best answer: Not at all. Knock 'em dead. In some ways, you may be better prepared at 23 than an 18-year-old who is clueless about life and responsibility.

  • Is it worth finishing my bachelors at 30 years old?

Best answer: Only 32 hours ? ......get your a** to class ! ;)
A finished degree, even in a field you are not seeking employment in shows determination. It will get you a better job and in all honesty probably a better wife and your one day kids to be will have a dad to look up to because he didn't give up.

  • True or false, if you make less than a 3.0 in high school then you are a loser and will never become something in life?

It has to be true. If my kid makes below a 3.0 I will disown them.

However, many employers are willing to consider applicants from a variety of majors. Psychology isn't a bad major for people interested in going into something like advertising or marketing.

Psychiatry is a medical field. For that, you have to earn a medical degree and do a hospital residency in psychiatry.

  • Can someone help explain GPA?

You don t need to explain unweighted vs weighted- I m talking about unweighted. So, if you don t get a 4.0 in freshman year, you will never have a 4.0 ever in high school? For example, if I get one A- in Freshman year, but all As every other year for every other class, my GPA can t ever be a 4.0?

I'm going to be a freshman at Temple University main campus this fall. I actually leave in 10 days to move into my dorm! As much as I am super excited to experience the college life, I have no idea what I am majoring in. My major is undeclared, and I've never had any clue what I want to do ever. My whole high school career I've been clueless, while I watched all of my friends and classmates pick their majors in sophomore year and begin building knowledge for it. I've talked to my teachers about it every year, and I've always got mixed responses. Half of them told me to go to college right away, that I'll find out what I want to do there. The other half told me to not waste my time and money by going straight to college and to take time off to find what I want to do. So I had two plans, either travel the US (I have family in almost every state, I was going to stay with them and my plan was to get a feel for their jobs to explore more major options while exploring new cities) or go to Temple University. I chose Temple. Which the first many months I thought was the best choice. But now, 10 days into moving away, I'm regretting it. With still NO IDEA on what to major in, I feel like I won't ever find out what I want to do in college. I feel like I should have listened to the other half and taken time to travel, explore, etc.

Best answer: Why would a few bad grads ruin your life? All you have to do is go back to school. You got probation, not suspension. They set it up that way because you are invited back after a semester. Please just pick up a class, only one single class this time. Not because you are not smart or motivated but because you seem to be worried about a lot of things and are also working at the same time. So it seems like you want to go back to school so start small, take 1 class, try to get an A or a B and just that one little A or B will push your GPA up if you are a Freshman.

Don't give up so quickly. You already decided that these types of jobs are not worth the effort anymore, so now place the motivation towards school by just taking a fun, easy or interesting class that will keep you wanting to at the very least show up to class and study before the exam.

I know it feels like everyone in college seem to be obsessed with school but most are just putting up with it. They are obsessed about the outcome of their efforts. So take that into consideration and go call up the school and set up an advising ASAP so you can take a class you like.
