Best answer: Your tires should ALWAYS be filled to the proper air pressure when they are cold. As you drive, the tires will warm up and the pressure will go up by a few pounds, but it will still be within the proper inflation pressure for your car. If you DO fill your tires to the proper pressure when they are cold, and... show more

If you DO fill your tires to the proper pressure when they are cold, and you continue to get low pressure warnings, you probably have an air leak and you need to get them fixed.

However, it's often cheaper for you to buy the part, especially online, and find a mechanic who will install it - However, if you consider credit and warranties as legal tender then it's really a hit/miss scenario wherein it's basically irrelevant. I, personally, don't care for credit, and I think legally there's a warranty irregardless..so I usually buy my own. The mechanic pays full price and marks it up 20%, fyi.

  • The bigger a tire is, the less often it will deflate?

Best answer: The size of the tire shouldn't have any effect on holding air. If anything, the larger tire has more surface area that can leak.

Females have entitlement attitude issues-- can't change them until wakeup with a bankruptcy. Let her try the trade at dealer and get laughed at, experience is a hard teacher but some people will learn no other way. she might need to get a pedal bicycle and good pair of walking shoes, go hungry to learn. does she stop at Starbucks for morning coffee? - then she will have to learn to boil her own. Fast food diners? then peanut butter sandwiches with 2 day old bread replace the Mickey Ds. She needs to save money- get her a piggy bank but don't loan her anything else. . .

    A tune-up is really a fluid term...if nothing is broken, technically spark-plugs can be considered a tune-up...not a very thorough tune-up, but a tune-up none-the-less.
